Gratitude is the Key to Your Personal Finance
Oct 21, 2022We begin with financial literacy, we graduate into being the driver of our personal finance, and so with gratitude, we can achieve meaningful wealth.
In my opinion, with an attitude of gratitude, it can center our personal finance, giving us clarity on what’s most important when it comes to our quality of life goals and to take the necessary steps towards our own financial independence.
Our sense of gratitude can naturally guide us to make better financial decisions when it comes to savings and spending. As when we are grateful, we will know how much we need to save towards specific goals that we have prioritized and we will naturally spend more wisely.
As the ideas and goals of wealth are relative and it’s all about how much is enough for us, not anyone else's. Our values need to drive our financial goals, not the other way around. The problems of finances generally stem from us not being responsible and accountable for our savings, spending and investing.
It’s always easier for us to plan our future and our finances when we first acknowledge what we have and what we have been given. Without such a base to start, we will be lost, pressured, and maybe even, insecure of ourselves as we chase after things and others etc. to find satisfaction and happiness. Not to mention, we’ll be easily influenced to make financial decisions we may regret.
So, like how the word personal is before the word finance, in personal finance, we need to first approach our money and finance with an attitude of gratitude, to personally appreciate things we have. So by being grateful then will also lead to other positive effects of improving our health, relationships with others, and of course, managing our money.
